On the same day, Princess Kate shared a personal video on Instagram highlighting her connection to nature and its healing properties. This video, entitled “Winter,” marks the culmination of her “Mother Nature” series she started in 2025.
The touching video portrays Princess Kate as she walks across a bridge, dips her hand into a stream, and contemplates her surroundings in a frosty field while reflecting on her own healing journey.
Just a day prior, the Prince and Princess of Wales returned to royal duties, visiting Charing Cross Hospital in London for their first official engagement of 2026. During this visit, they acknowledged the efforts of hospital staff and volunteers during the demanding winter months.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold discussed royal birthday celebrations in a conversation with Heart Bingo, hinting at possible gifts for Princess Kate. He mentioned that the royal family often enjoys humor in their gift-giving, suggesting that she could receive something lighthearted or something more luxurious.
Harrold elaborated, “There are a couple of options for presents from William. It could either be something jewelry-based, or it could be something that she needs for the home, or it could be a mixture of both.”
He also suggested that King Charles and Queen Camilla might choose a joint gift for her, potentially alongside a small party to celebrate.
Highlighting the sentimental nature of royal gifts, Harrold noted that Charles might consider giving a family heirloom or something cherished from his personal collection.
Recent milestones for Princess Kate include announcing her remission in January 2025, following previous cancer treatment, which began in early 2024. After reducing her royal duties for her health, she resumed a more standardized schedule following her recovery.
During a visit to the RHS’s Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital, she spoke candidly about navigating a “new normal” after treatment and the challenges it presents, emphasizing the emotional rollercoaster of recovery and adjustment.
She remarked, “You put on a sort of brave face. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.”
Princess Kate’s reflections highlight the importance of understanding and adapting to post-treatment realities as part of her personal journey.
