Kate Cassidy Shares TSA Experience Over Passport Photo Discrepancy
Influencer Kate Cassidy recently expressed her distress over an incident at Fort Lauderdale Airport, where she felt “ridiculed” by TSA personnel regarding her passport photo. The 27-year-old took to TikTok on May 15 to share her experience, stating she was questioned about the validity of her passport following cosmetic enhancements.
Cassidy described the situation in her TikTok video, tears evident as she recounted, “I just got ridiculed at the Fort Lauderdale airport.” She explained the security process in which her photo did not seem to match her appearance, resulting in a pause and further scrutiny.
During the security check, Cassidy said, "I gave the guy my passport and they do a photo of you. If it matches your passport, you get the green light; if it doesn’t, you get the red light." Unfortunately, she received a red light, prompting additional questioning. A TSA employee allegedly called for a colleague to verify her identity, who reportedly did a double take while examining her photo.
The worker continued questioning Cassidy, suggesting, “This isn’t you. You’re giving me somebody else’s passport,” and asked if she had undergone cosmetic procedures, specifically inquiring about her nose and lips. Cassidy mentioned she produced her ID to validate her identity but was still met with skepticism, receiving feedback that “Those are three different people.”
Feeling overwhelmed, Cassidy conveyed, “I’m literally so f***ing embarrassed,” and suggested that she could provide evidence from her social media accounts to prove her identity.
Cassidy criticized the handling of the situation, saying, “Keep in mind, everyone in line is listening to this. I understand they’re doing their job, [but] I think there’s way better ways to handle things.” In her post, she highlighted her intention to attend her sister’s college graduation.
Followers on social media responded to her experience with a mix of support and suggestions, with one commenting, “They don’t need to be mean!” while another suggested updating her passport photo due to the noticeable differences. Cassidy acknowledged the feedback, “You’re gorgeous in both, but there’s a lot of differences.”
The social media star, who previously dated Liam Payne before his death in October 2024, has been open about her cosmetic procedures. In June 2025, she revealed having undergone multiple procedures, including lip and cheek fillers, Botox, and a nose job.
