Jung Kook of BTS Dances to ‘Footloose’ in a Fun Denim Daydream for a Fashion Trendsetter

Jung Kook, a member of BTS, has embraced the spotlight as the face of Calvin Klein’s latest campaign, showcasing the brand’s ’90s jean styles—baggy, relaxed, and straight. The campaign, unveiled on February 24, features a vibrant video that captures Jung Kook’s journey through a New York City record store, where each musical genre he encounters leads him into a dance-filled fantasy.
Throughout the campaign, Jung Kook imagines himself in various scenarios: meditating by the ocean in a serene seaside home, playfully bouncing in a bright orange room, and even channeling the spirit of Kevin Bacon while dancing to Kenny Loggins’ iconic 1984 hit “Footloose.” The playful moment in the record store is interrupted by an employee, played by Rosie Perez, who reminds him, “This is a record store, not a dance floor.”
“I love Calvin Klein jeans because they’re designed to be lived in,” Jung Kook stated regarding the collaboration. “The looks I wore for this campaign nod to ‘90s style while feeling completely modern. It was exciting to bring together my love of music, dance, and fashion against the energy of the city.”
This campaign comes at a pivotal time for Jung Kook, who is preparing to release Arirang, his first album with BTS since the group’s 2020 release, Be, on March 20. Additionally, the group is set to launch a highly anticipated world tour starting in April, kicking off with performances in Goyang, South Korea.
Jung Kook’s partnership with Calvin Klein has been notable, as he nearly “broke the internet” last October with a striking ad campaign that showcased his impressive physique. Previous collaborations with the brand also took place in 2023 and are set to continue into 2024.
