Emmy Winner Julianna Margulies Joins Hulu’s ‘Paradise’ Season 3 Cast
Emmy Award-winning actress Julianna Margulies, recognized for her roles in The Morning Show and The Good Wife, is set to join the recurring cast of Hulu’s popular series Paradise for its third season. While specific details about her character and the upcoming season’s plot remain undisclosed, her involvement has already generated excitement among fans.
Paradise, created by Dan Fogelman and starring Sterling K. Brown, is located in a tranquil community home to some of the world’s most notable individuals. However, the calm is disrupted by a shocking murder, prompting a gripping investigation.
The second season concluded with Xavier, played by Brown, discovering that survivors—including his wife, Teri (portrayed by Enuka Okuma)—still exist outside the Paradise bunker, leading him on a quest to reunite with her. This journey marks his first venture into the world beyond the bunker since the devastation that obliterated much of the planet. Along his way, he encounters various survivor groups, revealing how they coped over the three years since the catastrophe. Meanwhile, tension within the Colorado community escalates as trust falters and hidden secrets come to light.
The second season also featured a talented ensemble cast, including Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. Regular guest stars included James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers.
Viewership for the Paradise season finale on March 30 was notable, drawing 4.3 million views globally within three days on both Disney+ and Hulu—marking a 35% increase from the season premiere, according to company reports.
The series is produced by 20th Television, with Fogelman at the helm as creator and executive producer alongside Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Sterling K. Brown, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra, and John Requa.
Margulies, renowned for her groundbreaking role on ER, has also gained acclaim for her performance as Laura Peterson in The Morning Show’s third season. Her extensive television credits span Billions, The Hot Zone, Dietland, and The Sopranos.
In film, she starred in Millers in Marriage, a project she also produced, and has wrapped up shooting on the independent drama Penny. Additionally, Margulies executive produced the Oscar-qualified documentary short Jack and Sam, which tells the true story of two Holocaust survivors reuniting after eight decades.
Recently, Margulies graced the stage in the Broadway adaptation of Delia Ephron’s memoir Left on Tenth, performing alongside Peter Gallagher. She is represented by CAA and Gendler, Kelly & Cunningham.
