Jon Favreau to Headline CinemaCon Luncheon
Director and producer Jon Favreau, known for his work on Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, will headline this year’s Creative Community Luncheon at CinemaCon. The event has previously featured notable figures such as Glen Powell, Colman Domingo, and Martin Scorsese.
Scheduled for Thursday, April 16, the luncheon will take place at Caesars Palace’s Octavius Ballroom in Las Vegas, just prior to the 2:30 PM PT presentation by Walt Disney Studios. This year’s event is sponsored by Fathom Entertainment and D-BOX Technologies.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is set to debut in theaters worldwide on May 22, marking the first major Star Wars film release since 2019’s Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker. The film stars Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, with production led by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. The musical score is composed by Ludwig Göransson.
Hosted by Cinema United, CinemaCon will run from April 13 to 16 at Caesars Palace, with official presenting sponsors including The Coca-Cola Company and Barco.
