John Malkovich Joins Joel Kinnaman in Upcoming Thriller Series ‘Bishop’
John Malkovich has been cast to star alongside Joel Kinnaman in Bishop, an anticipated thriller drama series produced by Prime Video. The series is co-created by Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman in collaboration with Vertigo and Amazon MGM Studios.
In Bishop, Kinnaman portrays Bishop Graves, a seasoned homicide detective facing his most challenging case yet. Tasked with tracking down a cunning killer targeting San Francisco’s affluent residents, Bishop finds himself embroiled in a web of intrigue. As the killer’s notoriety grows, drawing the attention of the city’s powerless, Bishop becomes convinced that the murders are linked to his estranged father, Lincoln Graves, played by Malkovich.
Little Marvin will serve as the showrunner for Bishop, which he and Saltzman will executive produce alongside Roy Lee and Miri Yoon from Vertigo. The project aligns with Marvin’s overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios.
Malkovich, an Emmy award winner and two-time Academy Award nominee, recently appeared in the Apple TV series The New Look and has been featured in films such as Opus, In the Hand of Dante, and Sacrifice. He is set to star with Sam Rockwell in the upcoming Martin McDonagh film Wild Horse Nine. Malkovich is represented by WME.
