Jenny McCarthy recently displayed her slim physique as she shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of her holiday card photoshoot with husband Donnie Wahlberg. The couple’s latest holiday card, which features a playful action-figure theme, was released just days before this reveal.

The photoshoot, highlighted on social media, features the couple in red swimwear, offering a vibrant and festive aesthetic. An Instagram video shared by McCarthy depicts the pair, ages 53 and 56, bundled up on a snowy day, set to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

After a playful moment in the snowy setting, Wahlberg appeared on camera again, this time showcasing the couple’s toned physiques in a warm studio, with McCarthy in a striking red bikini while Wahlberg wore matching swim trunks. The couple captioned their joint post, “Happy Holidays!” and expressed excitement for their annual Formless Beauty Holiday Card.

McCarthy shared insights with PEOPLE about their strategy for the holiday card shoot, emphasizing the importance of timing. “We always shoot it when Donnie gets off of tour. He’s been dancing around on stage for three months for his Vegas residency and is in great shape,” she explained. “I have to do the shoot in that window before he turns into that donut-loving cop on Boston Blue,” she added with humor.

The actress has faced challenges this year related to her health, particularly from a series of mouth surgeries that have limited her diet to soft foods. “People should actually feel a little sorry for me,” McCarthy joked, reflecting on her struggles.

Earlier this year, she underwent nine oral surgeries due to recurring infections that began with a failed dental implant. “I had one infection that turned into another and another, and then I had these growths show up on my eyeballs,” she stated, illustrating the severity of her health ordeal. Despite now being able to chew again, McCarthy noted that the infections repeatedly resurfaced.

Reflecting on her experience, McCarthy observed, “My teeth were falling out,” referring to complications that led to her bone infection. “They finally had to dig into my jawbone and chip away, and they found I had a deep bone infection. I’ve been on antibiotics for a year and had to eat only soft foods.”

While improvements have been made, McCarthy stressed that her health challenges are ongoing, with the infections returning at times she expected recovery.
