Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, made a rare public appearance together at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 11. Lawrence, who is 35 years old, is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in Die My Love.

The couple’s presence at the awards ceremony marks a momentous night for them, as they stepped out for what was described as a special date night. Lawrence dazzled in a sheer, plunging custom Givenchy gown adorned with side cutouts and floral embroidery, while Maroney, 41, opted for a classic black suit and bowtie.

Die My Love, the film for which Lawrence is receiving accolades, is based on a novel by Ariana Harwicz. Lawrence stars alongside Robert Pattinson as a mother grappling with postpartum depression. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, receiving a nine-minute standing ovation.

The couple first crossed paths in 2018 through a mutual friend and tied the knot in October 2019 at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island. They welcomed their first son, Cy, in February 2022 and added a second son to their family in 2025.

In December, Lawrence and Maroney were spotted at a celebratory event for the 50th anniversary of Raoul’s, a New York City restaurant. They were photographed enjoying each other’s company, further highlighting their rare public outings together.

In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Lawrence shared her initial impression of Maroney when their mutual friend introduced them while she was looking to purchase art. Reflecting on their meeting, she exclaimed, “I had no idea he was hot or single.”
