Jeff Dunham’s Docuseries Explores the Cars That Shaped Our Lives
Nacelle Announces Premiere of Jeff Dunham’s New Series on Discovery Channel
Nacelle has revealed that The Cars That Drove Us, hosted by renowned ventriloquist comedian Jeff Dunham, will debut on the Discovery Channel on Tuesday, March 31, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
The Cars That Drove Us is an eight-episode docuseries designed for family audiences. It features Dunham traveling alongside his ventriloquist companions Bubba J, Peanut, and Walter as they delve into the fascinating history and intriguing stories behind some of the world’s most iconic vehicles. With over a century of automotive history and more than two billion cars produced, the series aims to captivate viewers by taking them into Dunham’s personal garage, which houses 130 legendary cars. Highlights include tales of vehicles like the Corvette Stingray and the ill-fated Vector W8, narrated by the engineers and artisans who created them.
The project, produced for Discovery Channel by The Nacelle Company and Dunham’s Red Wire Blue Wire, was first reported last January. Dunham serves as an executive producer alongside Brian Volk-Weiss, who also directs. Additional producers include Cisco Henson, Ian Mallahan, Davina Dobrovech, Robert Hartmann, Matt McNeil, and Steve Reich, with Mallahan as the showrunner.
Regarding the series, Dunham stated, “Putting together this first season was quite a ride, meeting and learning about so many of the great people who made these iconic vehicles happen, and then discovering amazing facts and nuggets of information about the cars that few people know. Without a doubt, this is a show about automobiles like no other, AND, it will be great fun for just about everyone!”
Dunham’s representation includes Levity Talent and CAA.
