Jana Duggar, a former star of *Counting On*, has officially become a mother. The 36-year-old welcomed her first child, a son named Archie Gerald Wissmann, with her husband Stephen Wissmann on December 30.

The couple shared their exciting news via a joint Instagram post on January 23, stating, “We took some time to settle into our new rhythm before sharing this sweet news 🤍 Archie Gerald Wissmann arrived on December 30, 2025, and our hearts have been completely changed.” They expressed their gratitude, adding, “We’re soaking in these early days, full of love, wonder, and so much gratitude.”

Accompanying the announcement were three heartwarming photos of the new parents cradling their son, who was swaddled in a green blanket. In a comment, Duggar’s sister, Jinger, shared her excitement, saying, “Ahhh we love Archie so much already and can’t wait to meet him!! 😍.”

Jana announced her pregnancy back in August 2025, just a year after her marriage to Stephen in August 2024. The couple expressed their enthusiasm in their pregnancy announcement, writing, “We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family! We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”

The announcement featured several maternity photos, which Duggar credited to her sister-in-law. One image captured the couple in a loving moment, with additional photos showcasing Wissmann’s hand resting gently on his wife’s baby bump.

Duggar has been active on social media throughout her pregnancy, sharing updates regularly. In a post from late September, she reflected on reaching the halfway point, stating, “Halfway through pregnancy and I’m still in awe! It sure has flown by! I love feeling those tiny kicks these days!”

In a December update, just a month before Archie’s arrival, Duggar expressed her anticipation by stating, “The anticipation is building in our home! Can’t wait to meet this little guy!”

Notably, Wissmann also hails from a large family, being one of 13 siblings himself.

Prior to their wedding in 2023, Duggar expressed her excitement about marrying Wissmann, describing it as a dream come true. “For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of,'” she said two days before their wedding.

The couple exchanged vows at The Grand at Willow Springs, with 500 guests in attendance. Jessa Duggar served as the maid of honor, while family members and friends participated as bridesmaids and groomsmen, contributing to the couple’s “classic, elegant” ceremony.
