Jake Paul Reacts to Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘SNL’ Monologue About Their Career Journeys
During her recent monologue on *Saturday Night Live*, Olivia Rodrigo reflected on the past, sharing a memorable moment with her former co-star from *Bizaardvark*, Jake Paul. Both have experienced significant success in their respective careers, and Rodrigo’s lighthearted comparison of their journeys resonated with fans.
In her opening segment, Rodrigo reminisced, saying, “When I was 13, I was on a Disney show called *Bizaardvark*. We had an incredible cast, which included acting legend Jake Paul. We’d always talk about our futures, me and Jake. I’d say, ‘I really want to create music that explores the complexities of girls my age.’ And he’d say, ‘Well, one day I really want to beat up old guys on Netflix.’ And we both did it! Hurray!”
Following the segment, Paul took to social media to express his pride in their accomplishments. He tweeted, “We had the vision 😂 I told you that you would sell stadiums out and then we both did 🤯 proud of you fr.” He also shared his tweet on Instagram, paired with Rodrigo’s hit song “drivers license.”
Addressing a comment that suggested Rodrigo was laughing at him, Paul responded with grace, stating, “I got that she was making a joke at my expense. So what. She’s on *SNL* and that’s what they are supposed to do. Doesn’t change my admiration of her and her success.”
Additionally, he posted a nostalgic image of the two from their time on the *Disney Channel* series, which aired from 2016 to 2019, captioned, “Ah the good ole days.”
Rodrigo’s appearance on *SNL* marked her hosting debut and her third performance on the show, following her previous musical guest slots in 2021 and 2023.
