Jack Johnson Shares Exciting AU/NZ Concert Dates with Ben Harper and John Butler
Jack Johnson Announces Australian and New Zealand Tour
Jack Johnson is set to embark on a six-date tour across Australia and New Zealand this November. This tour marks a special occasion as he will be joined by Ben Harper and John Butler, who will each perform solo and acoustic.
The SURFILMUSIC 2026 Australia & New Zealand Tour kicks off at Brisbane’s Riverstage on November 7 and continues with stops at Kings Park & Botanic Gardens in Perth on November 10, The Domain in Sydney on November 14, Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on November 17, Spark Arena in Auckland on November 20, and concludes at Waipara Winehouse in North Canterbury, New Zealand on November 22.
Indigenous artist Emily Wurramara will make a special appearance at the Sydney show. The tour is being presented by Live Nation in collaboration with Double J for the Australian dates.
Presale tickets for fans will be available from May 7 to 8, with Mastercard presale access from May 8 to 12. General sales will open on May 12 at 2 p.m. local time.
This tour marks Johnson’s first return to Australia and New Zealand since 2022 and celebrates the upcoming release of the SURFILMUSIC documentary soundtrack, composed by Johnson and Hermanos Gutiérrez, which is set to launch on May 15.
The documentary premiered at SXSW in March and chronicles Johnson’s evolution from surfer to filmmaker and musician, detailing his early years on Hawaii’s north shore and his acclaimed surf films, Thicker Than Water (1999) and The September Sessions (2000).
Fans can expect a mix of classics such as “Better Together,” “Flake,” and “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing,” alongside new tracks from the soundtrack. Johnson will perform with his long-time bandmates Adam Topol, Merlo Podlewski, and Zach Gill.
The inclusion of Harper and Butler adds significant strength to the lineup. Harper is a three-time Grammy Award winner, renowned for hits like “Burn One Down,” and has sold over 16 million records globally. Butler, recognized as one of Australia’s prominent independent artists, boasts a career spanning over 25 years with popular songs such as “Zebra” and “Ocean.”
Johnson himself has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide across eight studio albums. He has significantly contributed to charitable causes, with proceeds from his music and tours exceeding $40 million for environmental, artistic, and music education initiatives through the Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation and the Johnson ʻOhana Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Kim.
