Ariana Grande to Host Saturday Night Live with Cher as Musical Guest
The latest episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) will air on December 20, featuring Ariana Grande as the host and Cher as the musical guest. This episode marks the ninth installment of SNL’s 51st season.
This current episode follows a previous show that saw Josh O’Connor in the hosting role, along with musical performances by Lily Allen on December 13.
With recent cast changes affecting the show, several key figures—Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow, Heidi Gardner, and Ego Nwodim—have announced their departures. In light of these changes, SNL has introduced new talent, including Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska, who will join returning cast members for this season.
Returning favorites set to take the stage include Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Marcello Hernández, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Sarah Sherman, Kenan Thompson, and Bowen Yang.
The upcoming episode will be Grande’s third time hosting and Cher’s second appearance as a musical guest. SNL is scheduled to air at 11:30 p.m. EST / 8:30 p.m. PST on NBC.
