New Episode of Saturday Night Live Features Josh O’Connor and Lily Allen
Saturday Night Live (SNL) returns with a brand-new episode on Saturday, December 13. Josh O’Connor will host the eighth episode of the show’s 51st season, while Lily Allen is set to perform as the musical guest. SNL airs at 11:30 p.m. EST / 8:30 p.m. PST on NBC.
This latest installment follows a prior episode where Melissa McCarthy hosted and Dijon was the musical guest on December 6. The show has undergone significant changes recently, including multiple cast exits after its milestone 50th season. Notable departures include Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow, Heidi Gardner, and Ego Nwodim. In response, SNL has welcomed new cast members Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska, along with returnees Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline.
Returning cast members this week will include Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Marcello Hernández, James Austin Johnson, Colin Jost, Sarah Sherman, Kenan Thompson, and Bowen Yang.
This episode marks O’Connor’s hosting debut, while Allen will make her second appearance on SNL, having last performed on the show in February 2007.

SNL airs at 11:30 p.m. EST / 8:30 p.m. PST, with episodes available for streaming later on NBC and Peacock.
Looking ahead, the following week will feature Ariana Grande as the host, with Cher as the musical guest on December 20.
