Hulu’s ‘The Testaments’ Releases a Promising Trailer Amidst Real-World Challenges
Hulu has unveiled the first trailer for its highly anticipated sequel series, The Testaments, based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name. This new chapter in the dystopian narrative introduces young teens Agnes (Chase Infiniti) and Daisy (Lucy Halliday), the latter of whom is a recent arrival and convert from outside Gilead’s oppressive realm. Both characters are intricately linked to Gilead’s dark secrets.
As they navigate the austere environment of Aunt Lydia’s (Ann Dowd) prestigious preparatory school for future wives—where compliance is enforced with brutal rigor—their growing friendship challenges their past, present, and future.
The cast features Mabel Li as Aunt Vidalia, Amy Seimetz as Paula, Brad Alexander as Garth, Rowan Blanchard as Shunammite, Mattea Conforti as Becka Grove, Zarrin Darnell-Martin as Aunt Gabbana, Eva Foote as Aunt Estee, Isolde Ardies as Huldah, Shechinah Mpumlwana as Jehosheba, Birva Pandya as Miriam, and Kira Guloien as Rosa.
