High School Students Unite to Support the Palisades Community
Three high school students who have been friends since kindergarten are taking significant steps to support their community through their nonprofit initiative, “Build Back Pali.”
Mason Cohen, hailing from Windward School, along with Jake Yoon and Dylan Fullmer from Harvard-Westlake, have raised thousands of dollars to aid in the rebuilding of the Pacific Palisades community, a region they all call home. Each student has been personally affected by the recent Palisades fire; Yoon lost his house, while Cohen and Fullmer suffered damage to their homes, forcing them all to relocate.
“We are trying to do anything we could for our hometown,” Fullmer stated.
Cohen stands out as a star baseball player at Windward, while Fullmer, the son of former major leaguer Brad Fullmer, excels in football at Harvard-Westlake. Together, they are committed to their cause and are planning another charity event aimed at supporting small businesses on Friday.
The trio has committed much of their efforts to assist their neighbors and show no signs of slowing down as they look toward continuing their work in 2026.
