In an Instagram Reel shared on January 21, Heather Rae El Moussa praised her husband, Tarek El Moussa, for being her “protector.” The video featured clips of the couple holding hands, complemented by text overlay that read “my protector.”
Heather, 38, wrote in the post, “Through every season, every dream, and every chapter, I’m so grateful to walk through life hand in hand with you. @therealtarekelmoussa ❤️”
Christina Haack, Tarek’s ex-wife and co-star from The Flip Off, reacted to Heather’s post with a supportive comment, simply stating “❤️❤️❤️.”
The family dynamic appears harmonious, with Heather and Tarek enjoying quality time with Haack, 42, especially as a blended family. They frequently celebrate holidays together and take trips with their children.
Recently, Haack shared a post reflecting on their family trip to Park City, Utah, to ring in 2026. She remarked, “May have been the saddest amount of snow I’ve seen in Park City, Utah – but this blended fam still had the best trip. 2026 is off to a great start.”
A few days later, Heather hosted a girls’ night at her and Tarek’s home, inviting Haack to partake in the festivities.

In a June 2025 interview, Heather reflected on motherhood and her role as a stepmother to Tarek’s two children with Haack, daughter Taylor, 15, and son Brayden, 10. “It is my favorite role that I’ve ever done in my whole life and more fulfilling than I ever thought it would be,” she stated. She described her son Tristan as “the light of my life,” adding, “I call him my little earth angel because he’s just perfection.”
Heather also mentioned how welcoming her children feels, sharing a touching moment when she walks in after a long day, and Tristan eagerly greets her with affection.
In addition to her family role, Heather stars in the house flipping competition show The Flip Off, which has been renewed for a second season. She expressed her excitement about teaming up with Haack for the show, stating, “I think that it would be super fun. I think that people would love to see Christina and I working together and beating my husband because he thinks that he could beat us, especially in a design contest.”
