Grupo Frontera’s Latest Music Video Combines Love and Charity
Earlier this month, Grupo Frontera, the norteño-cumbia band, released a poignant music video for their single "Se Me Sale," included in their recent album Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar. This video honors Perla, a young fan who is battling cancer.
At the outset of the music video, a message in Spanish dedicates the tribute to "Perlita, who found light even on the darkest days." The band announced that all proceeds from the video would benefit Perla and her family.

The video explores Perla’s life, showcasing moments from her parents’ wedding to her birth. As the story progresses, viewers see footage of her being surprised by the band at school, as well as sensitive scenes capturing her hospital treatments.
Another emotional highlight includes the band visiting Perla in the hospital with a bouquet of flowers and sharing joyful moments at Disneyland, where they enjoyed rides together.
The video concludes with heartfelt scenes of the band embracing Perla in the hospital, emphasizing their support for her journey.
Released in October, Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar consists of 13 tracks and features collaborations with artists like Ozuna, Myke Towers, and Tito Double P.

Upon the album’s release, the band stated that it reflects "everything we’ve lived — from heartbreak to celebration." They elaborated, "We wanted each song to tell a different emotion. Even though our music has always carried a joyful energy, our lyrics often come from a place of sadness."

The band also expressed their desire to visually convey a deeper contrast through a darker and more honest aesthetic while experimenting with new sounds and collaborations they admire. They emphasized that this album signifies growth, unity, and the essence of Grupo Frontera.
In November, Grupo Frontera debuted at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, marking a significant milestone as one of the first Mexican acts to bring norteño music to the historic venue.
