Grass Fire Near 405 Freeway Causes Traffic Delays Close to LAX
A four-acre grass fire erupted Thursday along the southbound 405 Freeway near the 105 interchange, causing significant traffic delays as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Fire officials reported that by 6 p.m., forward progression of the fire had been halted. Fire units surrounded the area and focused on extinguishing hot spots, with no structures at risk and no evacuations mandated.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation as traffic remains affected in the vicinity.
