Owen Wilson, known for his roles in numerous Hollywood films, is also a father of three. The 54-year-old actor has two sons, Ford and Finn, and a daughter, Lyla.
Wilson welcomed his first child, Ford, in January 2011 with then-girlfriend Jade Duell. His second son, Finn, was born in January 2014 with trainer Caroline Lindqvist. In October 2018, it was confirmed that Wilson had a daughter, Lyla, with Varunie Vongsvirates.
Although Wilson is not in a relationship with any of the mothers of his children, he told Esquire in 2021 that he lives close to his two sons and that their family dynamics are amicable. "Sometimes it feels like I’m already seeing how they’re gonna be as teenagers," he shared during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Where they’re gonna be ganging up on me."
In preparation for his role as a Bob Ross-like artist in the 2023 movie Paint, Wilson and his sons participated in an art class together. "I took one of those Bob Ross painting classes with my two boys," he stated. "All three of us did a similar mountainscape and I think they turned out pretty good."
While Wilson is not frequently photographed with his children, he was spotted with Ford and Finn at a soccer match in April 2024, where they attended a game at BMO Stadium to watch the Los Angeles Football Club compete against the New York Red Bulls.

Owen Wilson and Jade Duell announced their expectation of a child in January 2011. The couple welcomed Ford on January 14 of that year in Hawaii. They opted to use Ford’s middle name, as Wilson later explained, because they found it "original."
"It seems surreal that this tiny human being is now here — and I’m thinking about all the great adventures he has ahead of him," Wilson said shortly after Ford’s birth.
Embracing fatherhood with enthusiasm, Wilson recalls that even as a newborn, Ford was a "little scene stealer." At just six weeks old, Wilson remarked on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno that while his son wasn’t yet talking, he was already a captivating presence.
Wilson dove headfirst into parenting responsibilities, even changing diapers despite having no previous experience. "Changing a flat tire is much harder. I thought changing diapers was going to be challenging, but from the first day, I jumped right into it," he said.
As Ford grew older, Wilson observed his daring nature. In 2017, he told Ellen DeGeneres that Ford seemed destined to be a "little stunt man in training," citing a video of him belly flopping into a pool. "He’s a big Jackie Chan fan," Wilson laughed, noting Ford’s comedic charm.

Wilson revealed in October 2013 that he was expecting his second son with personal trainer Caroline Lindqvist. Although their relationship was not romantic at the time, both expressed excitement about the pregnancy. "They are not living together, but Owen is involved," a source noted, stating that Wilson attended appointments and supported Lindqvist.
Finn was born on January 30, 2014, in Los Angeles. Wilson shared that Ford took to being a big brother instantly: "Ford is very protective. He always calls him his baby brother," Wilson recounted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He added that Finn looks up to Ford so much that he earned the nickname "Me Too" for always wanting to imitate him.
Lyla Aranya Wilson, 7
Wilson became a father for the third time when Varunie Vongsvirates gave birth to Lyla Aranya Wilson on October 9, 2018. Lyla weighed 6 lbs., 13 oz., and measured 21 inches at birth. Her middle name honors her father’s heritage.
Vongsvirates announced Lyla’s birth on Instagram, sharing her joy in welcoming their "sweet little princess." Over the years, she has affectionately referred to Lyla as her "wild child" in her social media posts.
