NEED TO KNOW
- Lane Kiffin is the head football coach at Ole Miss.
- He shares three children with ex-wife Layla Kiffin.
- Landry is currently in a relationship with Whit Weeks, a linebacker for the Louisiana State University Tigers, Lane’s rival team.
For Lane Kiffin, head coach of the Ole Miss football team, success on the football field is important, but his true focus lies with his family.
Kiffin and his ex-wife, Layla Kiffin, have three children: daughters Landry and Presley, born in 2004 and 2006, respectively, and son Monte Knox, born in 2009. Following their divorce in 2016, Lane moved from Los Angeles to Alabama for a coaching position, while Layla and the children remained in California.
In 2020, Kiffin transitioned to Oxford, Mississippi, to lead the Ole Miss program. Landry subsequently moved to Oxford for her senior year of high school and is now a student at Ole Miss. In 2025, Layla and Monte joined them, marking a new chapter for the family, as reported by ESPN. Kiffin has publicly expressed fond memories with Layla, including moments captured at Ole Miss games and what appeared to be a celebration of their past together.
“He’s more involved with us now that he’s at Ole Miss,” Monte shared in a recent interview. “He’s just been a whole different person, really.”
While Lane is often in the news, Landry recently garnered attention when she announced her relationship with Whit Weeks, a linebacker for LSU, in September 2025.
Here’s a closer look at Lane Kiffin’s children: Landry, Presley, and Monte Knox.

Landry Kiffin, born on December 13, 2004, spent part of her high school years in Los Angeles, where her father previously coached. She moved to Oxford, Mississippi, for her senior year, which Lane described as his “second chance at being an in-person parent.”
“I hadn’t lived with him since before he went to Alabama,” Landry recounted. “We definitely got a lot closer than we had ever been.”
After two successful seasons at Ole Miss, Lane contemplated other coaching opportunities, but Landry convinced him to remain at the school. “Me and my friends made a slideshow collage to a sad song to make him rethink his decision,” Landry explained. The heartfelt gesture worked, leading Lane to stay at Ole Miss.
Currently, Landry is pursuing a degree in business administration at Ole Miss and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. However, she has also become involved with Whit Weeks, with their relationship publicly announced on Instagram in September 2025.

Presley Kiffin, born on October 19, 2006, is Lane and Layla’s second child. She committed to play volleyball at the University of Southern California in March 2024, the same institution where her father once coached.
In her announcement on Instagram, she expressed gratitude for her support system and excitement for her future. Currently a freshman, she plays as an outside hitter and is majoring in communications.

Monte Knox, born on January 13, 2009, is Lane and Layla’s youngest child. Shortly after his birth, the family relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee, where Lane accepted a head coaching position at the University of Tennessee.
Knox’s name honors both the Volunteers’ home city and Lane’s father, Monte Kiffin, a legendary defensive coordinator. Knox, who aspires to play football at the collegiate level, has already received offers from multiple schools as a high school quarterback.
Currently, Knox is attending Oxford High School after moving from Los Angeles during his freshman year.
