Dierks Bentley’s three children—Evalyn Day, Jordan Catherine, and Knox—have all played significant roles in shaping their father’s music career. The country singer-songwriter eloped with Cassidy Bentley, his childhood sweetheart, in 2005. The couple welcomed daughters Evalyn in 2008 and Jordan in 2010, followed by son Knox in 2013.
“One kid changes your whole life. Two is crazy. [With] three you already know what to do so you don’t stress the little things so much,” Dierks shared in an interview, reflecting on the transformative nature of fatherhood. Despite his close bond with his children, Dierks confirmed that he and Cassidy are not planning to expand their family. "I’m already going to be about 58 before Cass and I get any alone time!" he joked.
Relocating from Nashville to Colorado, the Bentley family aimed to prioritize their family life away from the hustle and bustle associated with the music industry. "I’m making up for lost time with my family," Dierks noted. "It’s been 18 years now of touring and being gone every weekend. Now I’m somewhere I can ride bikes with my kids to school. I put a camper on the back of my 1994 Chevy, and we go camping almost every weekend."
Although they have since returned to Nashville, the Bentleys maintain a family home in Colorado’s mountains. Dierks expressed his aspirations for his children: “I want them to grow up to be great people, to always be conscious of the environment around them and to serve in some way.”

Evalyn “Evie” Day, the couple’s first child, has already begun her journey in the arts. A gifted theater kid, Evalyn’s vocals feature in several of her father’s hits, including “Different for Girls” and “Thinking of You.” Dierks remarked, “Evie has a great natural voice and she loves theater,” during a 2021 interview on Good Morning America. The two have performed together on multiple occasions, with Evalyn quickly becoming a favorite surprise guest at her father’s shows.
“I want her to just explore it on her own terms, but it really is a gift to get a chance to play music together on stage,” Dierks said. Recently, the pair shared a driving lesson, which Dierks humorously documented on Instagram: “Now look both ways,” he instructed, making a playful face for the camera.

Jordan “JJ” Catherine Bentley was born on December 25, 2010. Named in honor of Dierks’s best friend who passed away, Jordan embodies a spirit that is both fierce and creative. Dierks frequently expresses pride in her growing theater and dance career. Additionally, her insightful nature inspired Dierks to write his song “I Get To,” after a poignant conversation they shared during a school drop-off.
The playful father-daughter dynamic has also led to humorous moments, as demonstrated when Dierks took Jordan bra shopping, leading him to exclaim, “Call mom!” during a TikTok video.

Knox, born on October 9, 2013, is less inclined towards the spotlight, opting instead to pursue sports. He plays on a travel hockey team and recently co-hosted the 2023 NHL awards with Dierks. "Hockey plays a big part of my daily life," Dierks shared. "I’ve been to rinks all over the country with my travel hockey son."
In 2019, Knox made his performance debut in the music video for "Living." The video captures a fun-filled day between father and son, showcasing their shared interests and adventures.
“It’s basically just me and Knox, just a day in the life,” Dierks said, summarizing their time together off the road.
