2026 World Cup Volunteer Uniforms Unveiled
The 2026 World Cup is set to kick off on June 11, 2026, with an opening match in Mexico City featuring Mexico. Co-hosts USA and Canada will host their inaugural games the following day in Los Angeles and Toronto, respectively.
The uniforms for volunteer staff at the upcoming tournament, designed to be eye-catching, were revealed on Tuesday. Drawing inspiration from North America’s varsity jacket culture, the kits offer mix-and-match options and include sneakers, socks, a mid-layer jacket, T-shirts, shorts, joggers, a cap, and a waist bag.
Each uniform will feature customized patches representing the three host cities, including Los Angeles. "As we unveil the look of our biggest volunteer team yet, we celebrate the unmatched energy and dedication of the volunteers," said Heimo Schirgi, Chief Operating Officer of the FIFA World Cup 2026. "This extraordinary team will create memorable experiences for fans, and it is only fitting that they be represented by a vibrant look that reflects their essential role."
Over 1 million individuals applied to volunteer for the North American World Cup, and approximately 50,000 will participate in the tournament, which spans Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
