Gemma Chua-Tran Joins the Cast of Netflix’s ‘Gundam’ Film
Upcoming Gundam Film Casts Chua-Tran Amidst Secrecy
Details about the character played by Chua-Tran and the plot of the upcoming Gundam film remain undisclosed.
Chua-Tran will join a notable cast, which includes Sydney Sweeney, Noah Centineo, Michael Mando, and Shioli Kutsuna, adding an intriguing lineup to the film.
The Gundam franchise, a long-standing multimedia phenomenon, is known for pioneering the mecha sub-genre centered around giant fighting robots. It began with the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979, created by Yoshiyuki Tomino, and continues to generate over $600 million in annual revenue.
Neither Netflix nor Legendary have provided comments on the project.
Chua-Tran is set to appear next to Anna Torv in the ABC crime drama series Dustfall. Additionally, she stars as the lead in the upcoming Project Arc Productions film, Kung Fu Deadly. Currently, she can be seen in the Netflix series Heartbreak High as Sasha So and in the Australian series Mustang FC. Chua-Tran is represented by Mosaic, Aran Michael Management, and Offer/Dern.
