Full Trailer for Michael Jackson Movie ‘Michael’ Released Ahead of April Premiere
The full trailer for Lionsgate’s upcoming biopic, Michael, has been released ahead of its debut on April 24.
The trailer opens with an empowering message: “You are confident. You are strong. You are beautiful. You are the greatest of all time,” showcasing the rise of the King of Pop, accompanied by a selection of his most memorable hits.
Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of Michael Jackson, stars in the titular role, demonstrating his singing and dancing abilities as he is propelled into superstardom in the two-minute, 16-second trailer.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Michael features a notable cast including Miles Teller as Jackson’s attorney and adviser John Branca, Colman Domingo as his father Joe Jackson, Nia Long as his mother Katherine Jackson, Jessica Sula as his sister LaToya Jackson, Larenz Tate as Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, Laura Harrier as pioneering music executive Suzanne de Passe, and Kat Graham as Diana Ross.
