Flavor Flav Teases New Projects at Grammy Viewing Party
Flavor Flav, the iconic rapper and reality TV star, revealed exciting updates about his television career during a conversation at Steven Tyler’s 7th Annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party on February 1. The 66-year-old entertainer hinted at a new reality TV project that aims to capture a larger audience than his groundbreaking series, Flavor of Love, which premiered 20 years ago.
In an interview, Flavor Flav expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am getting ready to do another reality TV show, but it’s going to be bigger than Flavor of Love.” He clarified that this upcoming project will not follow a dating format, as he believes he has already set the standard for reality dating shows.
“I want to come back with something bigger and better and something that’s going to have me lasting on TV longer,” he added. “I got something in the works… this is a show that I’ll be able to do until my death.”
Flavor Flav’s return to reality TV isn’t the only prospect on the horizon. Following his appearance as a guest judge on Dancing with the Stars during season 34, he disclosed that he has been approached to compete as a contestant.
“They want me to come back and dance,” he remarked. “I don’t know. I might do it if I think I could do it.” When pressed on whether he believes he could handle the dance floor, he humorously replied, “No, no, I don’t.”

Despite his hesitations, Flavor Flav enjoyed his role on Dancing with the Stars. He playfully recounted a slip-up while judging, where he mistakenly awarded dancer Alix Earle and partner Val Chmerkovskiy a score of nine instead of ten, “even though I made a mistake,” he joked.
“I was trying to change it back to a 10, and they were like, ‘No, Flavor,’” he recalled, with a laugh.
The rapper also reflected on his memorable interaction with Robert Irwin, the eventual winner of the season. “That boy told me, ‘Yo Flav, I got a crocodile and his name is Flavor Flav, and he’s the fiercest one,’” he shared, clearly amused by the young naturalist’s enthusiasm.

During the taping in November, Flavor Flav shared insights into how he approached scoring the dancers. As a non-dancer, he prioritized “precision” alongside timing and teamwork. “Each one of these couples tonight had all that and more,” he noted.
Flavor Flav’s return to reality television and possible foray into competitive dancing signal a vibrant chapter ahead for the rapper, further solidifying his lasting presence in the entertainment industry.
