A$AP Rocky Opens Up About His Journey from Cold-Hearted to More Emotional Parenthood

Parenthood has profoundly changed A$AP Rocky’s emotional landscape. The rapper, actor, and father of three recently shared how his role as a parent has influenced his character in an interview published in the latest issue of W Magazine.

The 37-year-old artist, who has acted in films like If I Had Legs I’d Kick You and Highest 2 Lowest, reflected on his emotional journey since welcoming his three children with partner Rihanna. “I am way more emotional,” he revealed, admitting, “Before the kids, I was probably cold-hearted. But now I’m a loving kind of fella.”

Rocky described his children as sources of boundless love. “I’ve got a lot of love to give to the world,” he stated during the interview. He also addressed his daughter directly, noting, “I’m going to pray for them” when asked about future suitors.

These reflections come a month after Rocky discussed the dynamic between his sons, noting, “Well, I’m surprised that the older two [are] getting along as much as they are.” He acknowledged that siblings often feud but expressed joy in their harmonious relationship.

Rihanna, present at the 35th Annual Gotham Film Awards, echoed Rocky’s sentiments about their growing family. “The babies are amazing. They’re all getting bigger, and I cannot take it,” she said as she discussed their sons and the family’s joyful evolution.

In a previous interview at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards, Rocky noted that while his sons share a loving bond, they occasionally display jealousy towards their younger sister, who he affectionately labeled his “baby twin.” He whimsically stated, “Rocki is cuter than ever. You know, she’s my baby twin, so it’s amazing. I’m happy to be a girl dad at this point.”

Rocky reassured that there’s plenty of love to go around, stating, “It’s a lot of love to go around, but it’s going to probably take some getting used to. Shout out to my boys and my baby girl, man. Daddy love y’all.”
