Flames Defeat Kings in Season Finale
The Los Angeles Kings concluded their season with a 3-1 defeat against the Calgary Flames, where goaltender Arsenii Sergeev marked his NHL debut by recording 27 saves.
Despite the loss, the Kings secured a playoff berth as the Western Conference’s second wild card team. They are set to face the regular-season champion Colorado Avalanche in the first round, with Game 1 scheduled for Sunday in Denver.
In a notable career milestone, Kings star Anze Kopitar played in his final regular-season game, concluding with 1,316 career points, placing him seventh among European-trained players in NHL history.
