First Look at HBO’s New Late-Night Series ‘Neighbors’ and Its Hilarious Cast of Characters
HBO Unveils Trailer for Upcoming Series ‘Neighbors’ Set to Premiere on February 13
HBO has released the first trailer for its new late-night original series, Neighbors, ahead of its premiere on February 13. The six-episode series will air weekly at 9 PM on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max.
The tagline, “When you buy a house, you’re buying the neighbors,” hints at the tumultuous relationships that often arise in close quarters. The trailer showcases a glimpse into these dynamics.
According to the logline, Neighbors delves into the chaotic disputes between neighbors and explores the extreme lengths to which individuals will go to protect their property and rights.
Created by Harrison Fishman and Dylan Redford, the series is executed and directed by the duo, who have collaborated to bring this project to life under the auspices of A24 and Central Pictures, a production company founded by director Josh Safdie.
Fishman and Redford spent over two years filming, traveling across the country to immerse themselves in the lives of various neighbors. Their goal was to capture a raw and intimate portrait of everyday Americans engaged in the fundamental pursuits of life, liberty, and property, as noted by HBO.
Each episode introduces a new set of neighbors embroiled in spirited disputes, covering issues ranging from property lines to quirky grievances, including a memorable confrontation over a yellow Speedo.
Neighbors also marks A24’s first foray into unscripted television and joins a growing slate of projects, which includes the recently announced reality competition series Overcooked, based on the popular video game. Further announcements regarding additional projects are expected in the coming months.
Executive producers for the series include Josh Safdie, Eli Bush, Ronnie Bronstein, and JP Lopez Ali for Central Pictures, along with Jonathan Hausfater and Chris Bowyer for A24.
