Firefighters Rescue Two Dogs from Blaze in La Verne
In a heroic effort, firefighters rescued two small dogs from a burning home in La Verne on Thursday. The quick actions of the crew included administering oxygen therapy to the pets, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Amidst battling the intense flames, firefighters located a 14-year-old dog named Ellie and another dog, Nikki, who was found hiding under a chair as the team worked to ventilate the roof. Their swift response not only saved the dogs but also provided necessary care as they exhausted from smoke inhalation.
After the rescue, the firefighters used oxygen masks to aid the dogs’ breathing while they were transported in an ambulance. Once the dogs were stabilized, crews returned to the house to retrieve their leashes, ensuring they would be securely reunited with their family.
Shortly thereafter, the dogs were joyfully reunited with their grateful owners. Video footage released by the La Verne Fire Department captures the emotional moments of the rescue, though the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
