Fire Breaks Out at Downtown LA Office Supply Store
Firefighter Injured in Early Morning Blaze at Downtown LA Office Supply Store
A firefighter sustained injuries while battling a rapid blaze at an office supply store in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that the fire broke out around 4:40 a.m. near the intersection of Hope Street and Pico Boulevard. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames emanating from the building’s roof.
In response to the fire, authorities issued a shelter-in-place order for nearby residents and businesses. Fortunately, no individuals were inside the building at the time of the incident. One firefighter suffered minor injuries and received treatment, but is expected to recover.
Arson investigators are currently looking into the cause of the fire.
