Filming of Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Hold Amid Domestic Assault Investigation
Filming Suspended for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Amid Domestic Assault Allegations
Filming for Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been halted following allegations of domestic assault. This decision comes just days after the premiere of Season 4 on Hulu.
According to People Magazine, the allegations involve Taylor Frankie Paul, a prominent figure in the show’s #MomTok movement, and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, who also appears in the series. The Draper City Police Department confirmed that an open "domestic assault investigation" is underway, with allegations reported to have been made by both parties.
Frankie Paul has been a central figure in the drama of the show, often showcasing conflicts and reconciliations with Mortensen. The cast also includes Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Miranda Hope, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, and Layla Taylor. Notably, these women are also executive producers of the series.
The interruption in filming coincides with Frankie Paul’s role in ABC’s The Bachelorette, which aired a teaser episode following the Oscars and is set to premiere on March 22.
Produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions in collaboration with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative, the show is overseen by executive producers Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, Dan Cerny, and others. Co-executive producers include Melissa Bidwell, Robin O’Neal, and Stephanie Weinberg.
Hulu has opted not to comment on the situation.
