Fergie Extends Congratulations to Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari on New Baby News
Fergie has expressed her support for her ex-husband, Josh Duhamel, and his wife, Audra Mari, following the couple’s announcement that they are expecting their second child, a daughter.
On March 5, Mari shared the joyful news via a black-and-white photo carousel on Instagram, which showcased her holding her growing baby bump. In her post, she wrote, "Adding a little girl to our story… We can’t wait to meet you 🤍.” Fergie responded with a warm comment, “Welcome the cuteness! 💖💖,” signifying a positive rapport between the former couple and their new familial dynamics.
Recently, Duhamel revealed that Fergie and Mari have cultivated a strong relationship. On "The Skinny Confidential" podcast, he described their interactions, stating, “She and I just have different views of the world, and that’s okay,” while praising Fergie’s parenting skills. “Fergie is also very wholesome… She’s a great mom, very kind, very non-confrontational, thank God,” he remarked.
Fergie and Duhamel, who were married from 2009 until their separation in 2017, finalized their divorce in 2019. They share a son, Axl, born in 2013. Duhamel also has a younger son, Shephard, with Mari.
In a recent interview with The Jess Cagle Show, Duhamel reaffirmed the bond between Fergie and Mari, stating, “Thankfully, Fergie’s an amazing woman, she really is. She’s taken Audra in.” He continued, “You never know how these things are going to go, but because she’s such a kind-hearted person, she only has love for Audra.”
Fergie has also shown her support in the past when Mari announced their first pregnancy in 2023. In that instance, after Mari shared a photo of a sonogram, Fergie commented, “I am truly happy for you guys 🥰🥰 Axl can’t wait to be a big brother.”
Duhamel reflected on Fergie’s excitement for their growing family, stating, “It could be a lot worse. I’ve seen it. I’ve lived it. And, thankfully, we have a really civil situation.”
Both Duhamel and Fergie have discussed their split candidly, emphasizing their amicable relationship. In a past interview, Duhamel noted, “We had a great time. I think we kind of outgrew each other and had very different interests,” adding that there are “no hard feelings” between them.
As the families prepare for the arrival of the new baby girl, the amicable co-parenting relationship continues to set a positive example amidst their personal transitions.
