The animated band Gorillaz is generating excitement ahead of their upcoming album, The Mountain, with the launch of a pop-up shop featuring exclusive merchandise in Los Angeles.
The Gorillaz: House of Kong LA Gift Shop is open to the public at 1005 Mateo St. in downtown Los Angeles. Visitors can browse from noon to 6 p.m. PT daily until Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. PT daily starting Thursday through March 19.
The shop offers a variety of items spanning the Gorillaz catalog, including clothing, stickers, jigsaw puzzles, comic books, and mugs. New items related to The Mountain are set to arrive on Friday, coinciding with the album’s release. Fans will also have the opportunity to take photos with a 1969 Chevy Camaro featured in the video for the band’s 2010 hit “Stylo.”
The gift shop opened a week prior to the House of Kong Exhibition LA, an audiovisual experience created by band members Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, along with artist and creative director Stephen Gallagher. This exhibition originally debuted in London in late 2025.
In a recent performance at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Sunday, the band delivered a sold-out show, playing The Mountain in its entirety. This album marks Gorillaz’s ninth studio project, following 2023’s Cracker Island.
Additionally, Gorillaz is set to make their Saturday Night Live debut on March 7, during an episode hosted by Ryan Gosling.
