Exciting Super Bowl Trailer for Spielberg’s New Film ‘Disclosure Day’
Universal Pictures Releases Trailer for Upcoming Sci-Fi Film ‘Disclosure Day’
In a highly anticipated reveal during Super Bowl LX, Universal Pictures has debuted the first full-length trailer for Disclosure Day, marking Steven Spielberg’s return to the realm of extraterrestrial-themed classics. Known for iconic films such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., and War of the Worlds, Spielberg takes audiences on another journey into the unknown.
Set to open in theaters on June 12, Disclosure Day maintains an air of mystery, with a teaser logline that poses a chilling question: "If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you?" The film suggests that the truth may soon belong to seven billion people.
The teaser released in December presented a glimpse of the film’s unsettling atmosphere, featuring Emily Blunt as a weather girl whose life spirals as she becomes possessed by an unseen force.
Following his critically acclaimed film The Fabelmans, which garnered seven Oscar nominations, Spielberg directs a cast that includes Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo.
The story originates from Spielberg himself, with the screenplay crafted by his longtime collaborator David Koepp, known for his work on Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Both Spielberg and Koepp are producing the film under the Amblin Entertainment banner with Kristie Macosko Krieger.
As the countdown to Disclosure Day begins, audiences eagerly await the unveiling of the film’s deeper narrative layers and thematic complexities. The newly released trailer hints at a gripping exploration of humanity’s reaction to cosmic revelations.
