Exciting News: ‘Heated Rivalry’ Soundtrack Coming Soon on Vinyl and CD

The soundtrack for the acclaimed series Heated Rivalry is set to hit the shelves on July 10 with the release of both physical and digital formats. Billboard has the exclusive announcement that the album will feature a blend of tracks featured in the show, complemented by the original score by Peter Peter.

This highly anticipated album will include songs from artists such as Harrison, t.A.T.u., Wet Leg, and Wolf Parade. Pre-orders for the soundtrack, released by Milan Records, will commence on March 26 and will be available on CD, vinyl, and as a digital download.

The physical editions will come with special features, including a fold-out poster, imagery from the Crave Original Series starring Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, and liner notes from creator Jacob Tierney. Two deluxe vinyl editions, each themed to the show, will be pressed on color vinyl.

Among the highlights of the soundtrack are 11 previously released songs licensed for the show’s first season, such as Feist’s “My Moon My Man” and Cailin Russo’s “Bad Things.” Additionally, it includes a previously unreleased bonus track, Peter Peter’s “One Soul” (Cottage Mix), alongside his original score. Scotty Taylor, the music supervisor for Heated Rivalry, shared his thoughts exclusively with Billboard: “There are no rules in love or music. Love is the answer and truth is the music. Love boldly. Sing loudly and be fearless.”

Heated Rivalry made its debut on the Canadian streaming platform Crave on November 28, simultaneously launching in the United States on HBO Max. The show follows hockey rivals Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander as they navigate a secret romance, adapted from Rachel Reid’s popular Game Changers book series.

The release of the July 10 soundtrack follows the earlier debut of Peter Peter’s original score album on January 16, which featured chart hits such as “It’s You” and “Rivalry.”

Montreal v. Boston Vinyl Edition: This widely available double vinyl edition will have a deluxe gatefold, pressed in block colors representing both teams.

Icy Inferno Vinyl Edition: This edition will be exclusively available through the Milan Records webstore and select retailers, featuring transparent clear vinyl.

Both vinyl versions showcase the 11 songs from the first season, the bonus track “One Soul (Cottage Mix),” and selections from Peter Peter’s original score, along with printed sleeves, trading cards, a fold-out poster, and notes by Tierney.

Double CD: This two-CD set will include a fold-out poster featuring credits and imagery from the series, along with liner notes by Tierney. It incorporates the same tracks found on the vinyl editions.

Digital Download: This option will contain the same track list as the CDs.
