Exciting News: A Live-Action Series of ‘Totally Spies!’ is Coming Soon
Totally Spies! is rapidly expanding its reach as multiple seasons of the beloved animated series are set to launch on Rakuten TV’s FREE Ad-supported Streaming Television (FAST) and on-demand platforms.
The rollout coincides with the announcement of a live-action adaptation of Totally Spies!, produced by Will Ferrell and currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Additionally, a new season of the 2D animated series, which features secret agents Sam, Clover, and Alex, is scheduled for release this year, marking the show’s 25th anniversary. The original series debuted in 2001 on ABC Family and subsequently aired on Cartoon Network in the United States.
Totally Spies! is owned by Banijay Kids & Family, which facilitated the agreement with Rakuten TV. Seasons 1 and 2 of the series will be available on Rakuten TV in the UK, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain, while Seasons 3 and 4 will be accessible in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Banijay has successfully leveraged its established brands for free streaming, exemplified by the recent launch of Mr Bean: The Animated Series in various countries. Earlier this week, Banijay announced plans for new merchandise and collectibles to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Totally Spies!.
