Evacuation Warning Issued Due to Burro Fire in Angeles National Forest
Firefighters Combat Blaze in Angeles National Forest, Evacuation Warnings Issued
Firefighters are currently engaged in battling a wildfire near Burro Peak in the Angeles National Forest, as confirmed by CalFire officials on Monday. The fire, known as the Burro Fire, was first reported at approximately 1:26 p.m. and has since consumed around 30 acres, with containment efforts still underway.
Fire crews are actively working to suppress the blaze, but officials have noted that the request for four additional air tankers has faced challenges. Competing demands from other wildfires in the area have limited the availability of the requested aircraft.
In light of the situation, evacuation warnings have been issued due to the potential threat to life and property. Residents who may need extra time to evacuate, as well as those with pets and livestock, are being urged to leave the area immediately. Specifically, evacuation warnings are in effect for zone LAC-E169.
Authorities are closely monitoring conditions as firefighting resources continue to respond and adapt to the evolving situation.
