Eureka Steps In as Production Changes for Season 15 of The Masked Singer on Fox
The Masked Singer Shifts Production to New Company and East Coast Location for Season 15
The Masked Singer is set to embark on its 15th season with significant changes, including a transition to a new production company and a likely relocation to the East Coast. This move marks an intriguing shift for one of Fox’s biggest hits, a show that has significantly influenced the unscripted television landscape in the United States.
The production change is not entirely unprecedented; the series premiered in 2019 under Endemol Shine North America before transitioning to Fox Alternative Entertainment for its second season. The new production will be handled by Eureka Productions, a company owned by Fremantle, which has extensive experience with high-budget shows. Eureka Productions is currently known for its work on Netflix’s upcoming Willy Wonka-themed series, The Golden Ticket, as well as other projects like KPopped and The Mole.
Fox insiders have indicated that this shift could enhance the show’s talent pool, providing greater access to East Coast stars, particularly those involved in theater and performance arts in New York. Historically, after moving to its own studio in Season 2, the series sought to manage costs and operations more effectively. The dynamics have since evolved, with conditions now more favorable for partnering with third-party production teams.
The change raises questions about Fox’s strategy, given its significant investment in unscripted programming. Many industry experts are speculating why the network would turn over production of such a key asset. The series continues to feature Nick Cannon as the host, alongside judges Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora, although it remains unclear if these changes will affect the current cast.
Cannon serves as an executive producer alongside Craig Plestis of Smart Dog Media, while Rosie Seitchik took on the showrunner role for Season 14. Another notable adjustment moving forward is the intended plan of producing one season per year, a shift emphasized by Fox CEO Rob Wade in May 2025. Wade clarified that the approach aims to give the team time to regroup creatively before entering the traditional January release window.
Although production is anticipated to move East, supporters of The Masked Singer have welcomed the decision to keep filming within the United States, as Fox has been known to produce many of its programs abroad in countries like Ireland, Australia, and Belgium. An insider noted the company’s commitment to continue leveraging American locations for filming whenever possible.
