Epic Pictures Group Acquires Film Seekers, Strengthening European Presence
U.S.-based Epic Pictures Group has announced its acquisition of Film Seekers, a sales and production company based in the UK and France. This strategic move aims to enhance Epic’s sales and production capabilities while expanding its film catalog.
As part of this acquisition, Caroline Couret-Delègue will join Epic Pictures Group as the President of Sales and Content. Couret-Delègue has an extensive background in the film industry, having previously worked with Metrodome, Seven Arts, and AV Pictures. She is the founder of Truffle Pictures and Film Seekers, which launched Film Seekers France in 2022. She is set to transition to Epic during this year’s Cannes market and will report directly to the CEO of Epic Pictures Group, Patrick Ewald, and CFO Katie Page.
Film Seekers has cultivated a diverse catalog, including notable titles such as the feel-good drama Love Sarah, the supernatural thriller The Witch In the Window, the Australian hit June Again, the action-revenge film Sunray: Fallen-Soldier, the Bolivia-set Cielo, and the Bangkok-based kidnapping thriller Crushed.
In her remarks about the acquisition, Couret-Delègue expressed enthusiasm for joining Epic Pictures Group. “I’m thrilled to join Epic Pictures Group—this partnership feels like a natural step in today’s evolving market. Patrick Ewald has built an exceptional studio, and we share a strong commitment to filmmakers. Together, we’ll expand our global reach and better support the films we champion,” she stated.
Patrick Ewald echoed her sentiments, reflecting on their introduction during their time on the IFTA board during the pandemic. “I met Caroline on the IFTA board during COVID and was immediately impressed by her leadership and insight,” he said. “With her at the helm and Film Seekers’ strong catalog, we’re well-positioned to accelerate our global growth and continue delivering bold, innovative storytelling.”
Epic Pictures Group operates under several labels, including Epic Pictures, Dread, Epic Pictures Releasing, and its video game publishing arm, DreadXP. This acquisition marks a significant step for Epic Pictures, positioning it for further growth in the competitive film industry landscape.
