Emma Heming Willis is marking a significant milestone in her relationship with Bruce Willis. In a heartfelt social media post dated December 30, the 47-year-old model and actress reflected on nearly two decades since they became a couple.
Sharing a photo on Instagram, Heming wrote, “18 years ago, he became my boyfriend. With one kiss on the top of my head, time stood still,” expressing her gratitude for their enduring love.
Since marrying the acclaimed actor, known for his roles in films like *The Sixth Sense*, in 2009, Heming has frequently shared glimpses into their life together. The image she posted captured the couple at a dinner table, with Willis affectionately kissing her cheek.
Willis, 70, is a father to two daughters with Heming: Mabel Ray, born in April 2012, and Evelyn Penn, born in May 2014. He is also father to Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, from his previous marriage to Demi Moore, which lasted from 1987 to 2000.
In a September interview, Heming spoke about how their love story began. She recalled a family trip to Turks and Caicos in 2007, where she saw Bruce’s caring side as he interacted with his children. “On that trip, I ended up falling for him really hard. That was the start of our love story,” she shared.
Heming described their life together as “busy” yet fulfilling, highlighting how Bruce always prioritized family time, even diving into pools with his daughters just to make them laugh. “He’s the iconic girl dad,” she remarked.
As the holiday season approached, Heming addressed the changes in their family dynamic since Bruce’s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. Reflecting on what that means for their celebrations, she said, “It’s joyous. It’s just different,” noting the importance of adapting their traditions.

Regarding family traditions, she humorously mentioned the significance of showcasing *Die Hard* during festivities. “I think it’s important to put *Die Hard* on because it’s a Christmas movie,” she joked. “You have to learn and adapt and make new memories, bringing in the same traditions that you had before,” she reflected. “Dementia is hard, but there is still joy in it. I think it’s important that we don’t paint such a negative picture around dementia. We are still laughing. There is still joy. It just looks different.”
