In a subsequent post, DiDonato provided fans with behind-the-scenes glimpses from her maternity shoot. In a short clip, she expressed pride in capturing these moments, encouraging other expectant mothers to join her in taking maternity photos.
"I’m actually really proud of myself for doing this," DiDonato admitted. "I’ll be honest, pregnancy isn’t a time I’m usually feeling my best, and I’ve always avoided maternity photos because of that. But this is likely my last pregnancy, and I made myself show up, and I love these photos."
She added, "They feel important to me already, so if you’re like me and tempted to skip it, take the photos. You won’t regret it."
The upcoming addition will join DiDonato and her husband Kyle Peterson’s two children, Oliver and Theadora, affectionately known as "Teddy." The couple welcomed their daughter in November 2021 and their son, Oliver, in May 2023.
In October 2024, DiDonato shared insights on the emotional connections she fosters with her children. "The depth of the love and care that I feel for them is like nothing else in this world," she stated. "I just feel so lucky sometimes that I get to experience this type of relationship."
While she treasures her role as a mother, DiDonato also acknowledges the challenges that come with balancing her personal and professional life. "The hardest part about motherhood for me is never being able to turn it off. No matter what I’m doing or who I am with, I am always thinking of my children," she reflected. "Being a mom is such a privilege, but it is a job that you cannot check out of."
