Elisabeth Hasselbeck Shares Her Thoughts on Returning to Survivor: A Clear No
Elisabeth Hasselbeck has rejoined the panel of The View to lend her conservative perspective during Alyssa Farah Griffin’s maternity leave.
While Hasselbeck is comfortable returning to the show that has been a significant part of her career, she has no interest in returning to the reality competition Survivor.
With the upcoming 50th season of Survivor featuring returning contestants, The View producer Brian Teta probed Hasselbeck about any offers she might have received to come back.
Hasselbeck confirmed during the Behind the Table podcast, “They have,” before firmly stating her response was a “Solid no. Solid no, every single time.”
When Teta specifically inquired about an invitation to the milestone season, Hasselbeck remarked, “I think, maybe, there was an indirect ask. I think I’d trained them to know [I’d say no].”

Hasselbeck originally competed in Survivor’s second season, finishing fourth and becoming the sixth jury member. In 2003, she was invited back for Survivor: All-Stars, an offer she declined. That same year, she began her tenure as a co-host on The View, succeeding Lisa Ling.
During her podcast appearance, Hasselbeck explained her reluctance to return, stating, “I don’t think I could leave the kids. I barely want to miss a [sports] game today that I know is going on.”
The upcoming season of Survivor will also see notable participants returning, including Mike White, creator of The White Lotus, who first appeared in Season 37: David Vs. Goliath. Other returning castaways include Jenna Lewis-Dougherty from Season 1, Colby Donaldson from Season 2, and Cirie Fields, who will be competing for the fifth time.
