Eddie Judge Opens Up About Vicki Gunvalson’s Return to ‘RHOC’
Eddie Judge Responds to Vicki Gunvalson’s Return to The Real Housewives of Orange County
Eddie Judge, husband of reality star Tamra Judge, recently shared his thoughts on Vicki Gunvalson’s return to The Real Housewives of Orange County during an episode of iHeartRadio’s podcast, The Ed’s.
On the January 6 episode, Eddie emphasized the importance of mending relationships, particularly in light of his discussion with Joe Gorga about reconciling with sister Teresa Giudice. “We do live in a world where you just don’t need enemies,” he remarked, reflecting on the dynamics of reality television.
Eddie acknowledged past conflicts with Gunvalson but noted that those incidents were not as significant as portrayed. “What she did, she did on the show, and what she did to me really wasn’t that big a deal,” he stated. He referenced a 2017 gathering hosted by Gunvalson, where contentious allegations about his sexuality arose, which he has consistently denied.
He expressed concern more for Tamra’s experience: “What I really was bothered with is how she treated you… But when you’re fighting, you’re fighting like sisters.” If it were up to him, he would love to see Tamra and Vicki reconnect and enjoy each other’s company while he spends time with Vicki’s boyfriend, Michael Smith. “At the end of the day, you got to forgive, forget and move on,” he said.
So far, Bravo has only confirmed Vicki’s return for the upcoming season, with casting details for Season 20 still pending.
Staying Out of the Drama
Eddie also discussed his strategy of avoiding involvement in the show’s dramatic narratives. “I’m not a Housewife,” he remarked, acknowledging how some spouses strive for attention on the show. He affirmed his goal is to support Tamra and allow her to shine. “This is a Housewife show. My only place is to support you — call it a supporting role,” he explained.
Dispelling Misconceptions About Tamra
In addressing common misconceptions about Tamra, Eddie stated, “The biggest misconception is that you are mean and a drunk.” He painted a contrasting picture of her character, emphasizing her homebody tendencies and disregard for external drama.
Support Regardless of Casting Decisions
When asked about his feelings if Tamra is not asked back for the new season, Eddie reassured her of his unwavering support. “At the end of the day, this is your thing. You battle with it,” he said. “Tamra’s going to do whatever the hell Tamra wants to do.”
Eddie concluded that his involvement is primarily to support Tamra’s journey on the show. “This is about you and you’re great on the show,” he added, even though he only watches a few episodes.
The dynamics within The Real Housewives of Orange County continue to evolve as fans await further news on the upcoming season.
