Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, and SURF GANG Share Exciting News About Their New Double Album and Upcoming Tour Dates

MIKE, Earl Sweatshirt, and SURF GANG have announced the release of their new double album titled POMPEII // UTILITY, along with a music video for their double single “MINTY // EARTH.” Additionally, they will embark on the “Home on the Range” tour to support the album.

Set to release on April 3rd through 10k/Tan Cressida/SURF GANG Records, POMPEII // UTILITY features 33 tracks that blend MIKE and Earl’s captivating rap styles with production by the New York collective SURF GANG.

According to a press release, the album is “many years in the making,” stemming from a collaborative relationship between MIKE and Earl that dates back nearly a decade, and also reflecting SURF GANG’s history of working with both artists.

Fans can get a taste of the album through the track “Minty // Earth.” The first part, “Minty,” features MIKE delivering a haunting verse over a minimalist beat, creating vivid imagery. The transition to “Earth” introduces smoother melodies, where Earl’s densely packed rhymes elicit surprising connections, maintaining his distinctive style.

The corresponding music video showcases MIKE, Earl, and SURF GANG in a remote location, performing their verses while enjoying each other’s company.

To promote the upcoming album, the “Home on the Range” tour will commence on April 24th in Mexico City at Foro Indie Rocks. Following the Mexican leg, the tour will travel to several U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, New York, and Myrtle Beach, before heading to the UK and Europe with stops in Glasgow, Dublin, and Paris.

Pre-sale tickets for artists will be available on Wednesday, March 11th at 10:00 a.m. local time with the password UTILITY. Spotify pre-sale tickets will follow on Thursday, March 12th at the same time using the password THEHARP. General ticket sales will begin on Friday, March 13th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
