DUI Arrest in Malibu: Man Found with Nitrous Oxide Tank and His French Bulldog
Man Arrested for Suspected DUI in Malibu
A man was apprehended on Saturday in Malibu on suspicion of driving under the influence, following reports of reckless behavior.
Deputies from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD) discovered multiple open alcohol containers, a nitrous oxide tank, and a French bulldog inside his vehicle during the arrest.
The incident began when a unit from Malibu Volunteers on Patrol observed the driver in a silver BMW making an unsafe U-turn on Trancas Canyon Road, nearly colliding with pedestrians.
The driver subsequently pulled over in a no-parking zone on Pacific Coast Highway near Guernsey Avenue, creating hazardous conditions for other vehicles attempting U-turns. After the volunteer unit requested assistance from deputies at the Malibu/Lost Hills station, the driver crashed into another vehicle when coming to a stop.
Deputies took the driver into custody for DUI and transported him to the Malibu/Lost Hills Station. A relative later arrived to retrieve both the vehicle and the dog.
