Investigation Underway Following Fatal Shooting in Rosemead
A shooting incident in Rosemead has left one woman dead, prompting an investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The shooting occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Monday on the 2400 block of Strathmore Avenue.
According to law enforcement sources familiar with the situation, the incident began as an argument between two individuals, which escalated to gunfire.
The victim, who is believed to have been unhoused, was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
In connection with the shooting, a man has been detained. However, officials have yet to confirm whether he will face any charges related to the incident. The identity of the deceased woman has not been released, and the reasons behind the argument remain unclear.
