Deputies Find Jerry O’Connell’s Stolen 1979 Cadillac Before He Even Realized It Was Gone
Stolen Cadillac Registered to Actor Jerry O’Connell Recovered
A vintage 1979 Cadillac belonging to actor Jerry O’Connell was recovered by law enforcement following a traffic stop on Pacific Coast Highway earlier this month. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that a homeless man was driving the vehicle when it was pulled over for speeding on January 13.
During the stop, the driver failed to provide a driver’s license, registration, or proof of insurance, according to the sheriff’s department. Although the man claimed that the car belonged to a family member, he could not provide further information about this claim.
Deputies confirmed that the Cadillac was registered to the O’Connell family and discovered it had been stolen from O’Connell’s home in Calabasas, located in the western San Fernando Valley. At the time of the theft, O’Connell, known for his roles in "Stand by Me" and "Jerry Maguire," along with his family, were out of town and unaware that their vehicle had been taken.
The authorities successfully returned the Cadillac to O’Connell following the incident.
Efforts to obtain a comment from the actor’s representatives have been initiated.
