Cami Miller’s grief is catching up to her in the latest episode of Landman, which aired on November 30. Moore’s character confronts her feelings after a night spent with two seemingly happy couples, reflecting on her own deep loss.
This episode sees Tommy aiding Cami in investigating Monty’s financial dealings, which support their oil company, M-Tex Oil. Their discussion at the Cattleman’s Club in Fort Worth turns contentious, with tension brewing between Tommy and Danny, who both happen to be at the club.
Danny and Bella join Cami and the other couple for drinks and conversation. During this interaction, Cami expresses envy towards their enduring love. “Y’all need to cherish this. I mean, do you know how rare it is to love someone long enough to actually know them?” she states, emphasizing the depth of her loneliness without Monty.

At the club, Cami reveals the extent of her mourning, calculating the time since Monty’s death: “Seven weeks, three days, 11 hours ago.” This moment underscores the depth of her sorrow and isolation.
The episode concludes with a heart-wrenching scene as Cami collapses on her patio, sobbing while clutching a framed photo from her wedding to Monty. This emotionally charged moment marks one of the most intense in the series created by Taylor Sheridan.
While Monty’s death has deeply affected Cami, it has also allowed Moore to take on a larger role in the series. Co-creator Christian Wallace acknowledged that Monty’s passing created a significant opportunity for Cami’s character development in season 2.
Moore acknowledged the emotional challenges of her role, expressing that she was “not entirely prepared” for the deeper grief her character would experience this season. Reflecting on Cami’s journey, she remarked, “[Monty] truly was the love of [Cami’s] life.”
