Death Cab for Cutie Shares Exciting News About Their 2026 Summer Tour and New Partnership with ANTI- Records
Death Cab for Cutie Signs with ANTI- Records, Announces 2026 Summer Tour
Death Cab for Cutie has officially signed with ANTI- Records, concluding a noteworthy chapter with Atlantic Records. To celebrate this new partnership, the band has revealed plans for a summer tour in 2026, featuring Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, and Nation of Language on select dates.
The tour will kick off in Minneapolis on July 10th and conclude in Paso Robles, California, on August 7th. The itinerary includes major cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, and Philadelphia. A list of the full tour dates follows.
Fans can gain early access through a pre-sale beginning on January 28th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. General ticket sales will commence on January 30th.
“One of my favorite parts of being in this band is getting to be out on the road with artists that inspire us,” said frontman Benjamin Gibbard. “Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, and Nation of Language have made some of our favorite albums in recent years, and we’re stoked they’ll be joining us this summer.”
With this transition, Death Cab for Cutie returns to its independent roots after releasing six albums under Atlantic, including two that achieved Platinum status. The band has teased that further details about new music will be announced “soon.”
“We are thrilled to be joining the roster at ANTI-, which includes some of our favorite artists, old friends and, in many cases, both,” Gibbard added regarding the signing. “We also can’t wait to begin this new chapter with the wonderful staff at ANTI- and share with you what we’ve been working on.”
Last year, Gibbard made a special appearance at Dua Lipa’s concert in Seattle, joining her for a duet of “I Will Follow You Into the Dark.”
The band’s most recent album, Asphalt Meadows, was released in 2022.
